Principal Kathy Leverence proudly leads the Huskies at Hubenak Elementary School. With 12 years of experience in education and eight years as a member of the Hubenak family, she has served the campus as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and now principal. Mrs. Leverence earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and her master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Francis. As a proud Lamar CISD parent, she has daughters attending Fulshear High School, Tomas High School, and Banks Junior High, and her family proudly supports both the Chargers and the Gators! Mrs. Leverence is passionate about ensuring every student experiences growth, every family feels connected to the school community, and every Husky is empowered to achieve excellence each day.
